Amazon Prime to get 1st ever price increase, will cost $99 starting April 17 |

Amazon announced that it will raise the cost of Amazon Prime to $99 on April 17. That's a $20 jump and the first price hike for Prime membership since its introduction nine years ago. (Amazon Student Prime will cost $49, a $10 increase.)
