Walmart offers the Apple iPad mini 16GB WiFi Tablet in Black, model no. MD528LL/A, or White, model no. MD531LL/A, for $299. Opt for free in-store pickup to dodge the $3.97 shipping charge. That's a buck under our mention from two days ago and the lowest we've seen for a new unit. (We saw this price yesterday, but it was for in-store purchases only; now it has pickup and shipping options. It's a current price low by $10.) Sales tax is added where applicable. This 0.3"-thick tablet weighs 0.7 lbs. and features an Apple A5 1GHz dual-core processor, 7.9" 1024x768 LED-backlit touchscreen LCD, 802.11n wireless, Bluetooth 4.0, accelerometer, compass, up to 10 hours of battery life, and iOS 6.
