Walmart offers the Apple iPad mini 16GB WiFi Tablet in Black (pictured), model no. MD528LL/A, or White, model no. MD531LL/A, for $299. Opt for free in-store pickup to dodge the $3.97 shipping charge. That's tied with last week's mention as the lowest price we've seen for a new unit. (It's also a current price low for a shipped unit by $30.) This 0.3"-thick tablet weighs 0.7 lbs. and features an Apple A5 1GHz dual-core processor, 7.9" 1024x768 LED-backlit touchscreen LCD, 802.11n wireless, Bluetooth 4.0, accelerometer, compass, up to 10 hours of battery life, and iOS 6.
Of note, for in-store pickup only, MicroCenter offers the White version, model no. MD531LL/A, for $299.99.
