TigerDirect again offers the Buffalo 1TB MiniStation Stealth Portable USB 2.0 External Hard Drive, model no. HD-PCT1TU2/BK, bundled with Total Defense Premium Internet Security 5-User for Windows for $99.99. These $60 and $20 mail-in rebates cut it to $19.99. With around $4 for shipping ($0.02/GB), that's tied with our mention from two weeks ago as the best price we've seen for the hard drive. (It's also a current low for the HDD alone by $36.) The portable hard drive features a data transfer rate of up to 480 Mb/s. Deal ends September 30.
Of note, the software must be activated before the rebate can be redeemed, which involves providing your credit card information. However, you can cancel the service at any time within the first year without incurring any additional charges.
