Court approval sought for $324M settlement of tech workers anti-poaching suit |

Google, Apple, Intel and Adobe Systems have agreed to pay US$324.5 million to settle a class-action lawsuit that accused the companies of entering into secret agreements not to hire each others’ workers, according to a filing seeking preliminary approval of the settlement.The filing late Thursday in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California, San Jose division by lawyers for class representatives Mark Fichtner, Siddharth Hariharan, and Daniel Stover states that the companies will deposit an initial sum of $1 million from the settlement amount into an escrow account within 10 days of the preliminary approval, to be used for notice and administration costs.To read this article in full or to leave a comment, please click here
