Japan's Railway Technical Research Institute Puts Multiple Cray Supercomputers Into Production |

SEATTLE, WA--(Marketwired - Sep 5, 2013) - Global supercomputer leader Cray Inc. (NASDAQ: CRAY) today announced that the Railway Technical Research Institute (RTRI) in Japan has put a Cray XC30-AC supercomputer, a Cray CS300 cluster supercomputer and a Cray Sonexion storage system into production. Researchers and engineers at RTRI combined the Cray CS300 cluster supercomputer and the Cray XC30-AC supercomputer into one virtual system performing complex simulations aimed at advancing railway technologies.
