Lenovo joins Windows 8.1 tablet race with $299 Miix2 |

Lenovo has entered the Windows 8.1 tablet market with the 8-inch Miix2 tablet, which starts at US$299 and has an Intel Atom chip code-named Bay Trail.The Miix2 weighs 350 milligrams and is 8.35 millimeters thick. It has about seven hours of battery life, the company said in a specification sheet.The tablet will be available at the end of this month in the U.S., according to Lenovo. With a cover for the tablet, it will be priced at $349.99.The Miix2 screen can display images at a 1280 x 800 pixel resolution, which is consistent with the other 8-inch Bay Trail and Windows 8.1 tablets.
