October 19, 2013

If you were looking forward to updating your Windows RT tablet to the fancy new 8.1 update this weekend, it's time to start looking for a Plan B. Microsoft has temporarily yanked the Windows RT 8.1 update from the Windows Store due to "a situation affecting a limited number of users," as first reported by WinBeta. Oops. Fortunately, the issue doesn't appear to be widespread. Mashable editor-in-chief Lance Ulanoff ran into the problem while attempting to install Windows RT 8.1 on his Surface RT.
