Trans Intl. offers the Seagate Momentus XT 500GB 2.5" Serial ATA 3Gb/s Hybrid Internal Hard Drive with 4GB SSD, model no. ST95005620AS, installed in a ProStor725 Firewire 800 & 400 / eSATA / USB Enclosure (pictured), for $128 plus $8 for shipping ($0.27/GB). That's the lowest total price we could find by $15. Features include a 7200 rpm spin rate, 32MB cache, and 4GB of SLC NAND solid state flash storage. This drive claims to perform up to 80% faster compared to mechanical 7200 rpm drives by placing commonly used programs on its 4GB of flash storage. The aluminum enclosure includes eSATA and USB combo ports as well as FireWire 800, 400, and eSATA ports.
Trans Intl. also offers the Seagate Momentus XT 750GB 2.5" SATA 6Gb/s Internal Solid State Hybrid Drive with 8GB SSD, model no. ST750LX003, installed in the same enclosure for $188 plus $8 for shipping ($0.26/GB). That's a price low of $20.
