The Apple Store offers the factory-refurbished, 4th-generation (current generation) Apple iPod touch 8GB MP3 Player, model no. MC540LL/A, for $199 with free shipping. Although that's $23 over our mention of a non-Apple refurb from last week, since expired, it's the first time we've seen Apple offer a refurbished version of the current generation iPod touch. It features a new high definition Retina Display, 3-axis gyro, iOS 4.1, front- and rear-facing cameras (the latter capable of HD recording), FaceTime, Game Center, and more. Unlike the less-expensive refurbished unit we've seen, this includes a full 1-year Apple warranty.
