newegg offers the refurbished ASUS 5-Port Gigabit Ethernet Switch, model no. GX-D1051, for $12.99. This $10 mail-in rebate cuts it to $2.99. With 99 cents for shipping, that's $6 under our mention of a new unit from last summer and the lowest total price we've seen for this model. (It's also $16 below the price of a new one now.) It features a VIP port, a high performance port for data connections that can prioritized over the other four ports. Rebate ends July 31.
A 90-day warranty applies, although it's unclear who backs it.
