Walmart offers the Sceptre 40" 1080p Widescreen LCD HD Television, model no. X409BV-FHD, for $289.98. Choose free in-store pickup via Site-to-Store to dodge the $24.97 shipping charge. With pickup, that's $10 under our mention from two weeks ago and is one of the least expensive 40" 1080p LCD TVs we've seen. (It's also $210 under the lowest total price we could find for a shipped unit elsewhere.) Sales tax is added where applicable. It features a native resolution of 1920x1080 (1080p), 90,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, 8ms response time, USB port, three HDMI inputs, and VGA and other video inputs.
