Newegg offers the Seagate Barracuda 500GB Serial ATA 6Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive, model no. ST500DM002, bundled with Total Defense Premium Internet Security 1-Year Subscription 5-User Edition for Windows for $66. This $60 mail-in rebate makes it $6. With free shipping, that's $14 under our June mention of this bundle and the lowest total price we've seen. (It's currently $42 below the best price we could find for the drive alone elsewhere.) This 7200 rpm drive features a 16MB cache. Rebate expires December 31.
Note that in order to redeem the rebate, you'll need to activate the Total Defense software, which involves providing your credit card information. However, you can cancel the service at any time within the first year without any additional charges.
