Today, Seagate released its TV Remote App for Apple iPhone / iPod touch / iPad, which allows any iOS-equipped device to control both the Seagate GoFlex and FreeAgent Theater+ HD media players. The wireless app circumvents the restrictions associated with traditional remotes, which depend on light impulses that can be easily blocked by furniture, children, etc., and it streamlines media searching with a full digital keyboard. The iTunes App Store currently offers downloads of TV Remote for free.
