T-Mobile launching first Windows Phone 8.1 phone in early July |

T-Mobile said Tuesday that it plans to launch the Microsoft Lumia 635 smartphone in early July, the first time Microsoft’s new Windows Phone 8.1 operating system will be available through a major carrier.T-Mobile said it will launch the phone first on the Home Shopping Network on July 5 to prepaid customers for an undisclosed price, then via the T-Mobile Web site for $0 down and $7 per month for 24 months ($168) with a postpaid Simple Choice Plan. If you’d like to wait a bit, T-Mobile will offer the phone online and in select MetroPCS stores for a substantially discounted price of $99 beginning on July 18.
