Thinkware X500 dash cam review: It packs advanced features in an annoying design |
September 28, 2015
Feature-wise, the X500 is by far the most capable product in the review: 1080/30fps 140 degree wide-angle video, a 2.7-inch LCD, HDMI out, the ability to save video to both internal NAND and the SD card during incidents, as well as record from both from its internal camera and the optional $100 TWA-X500F750R USB-attached rear-view camera. It’s also got smarts: audio/voice feedback (good), lane departure and collision warnings (useless), plus notices about speed cameras and traps. If you’re serious about covering your legal self while driving—it’s the best dash cam in the roundup.
The Thinkware X500 has a nice, wide 140-degree field of view and great daytime video quality. To read this article in full or to leave a comment, please click here
