Video: Global startup competition for seed money is a big draw |

A competition for seed money brought 28 startups from around the world to San Francisco in hopes of snagging the interest of an investor judge. At stake for participants in the AngelHack contest: a pair of $25,000 checks to the two most promising pitches.
In this video report, we take a closer look at the AngelHack contest, in which assorted mobile apps vie for attention and feedback from investors.
Each of the competitors has already been mentored for weeks after winning a hack in their respective city’s first competition to make it to San Francisco. AngelHack says on average, 30 percent of the finalists receive funding even if they don’t go home with the big prize.
