As one of its daily deals, TigerDirect offers the Western Digital Elements 2TB USB 2.0 External Hard Drive, model no. WDBAAU0020HBK-NESN, bundled with Total Defense Premium Internet Security 5-User for Windows for $119.99. Mail-in rebates of $60 and $20 cut it to $39.99. With around $5 for shipping, that's $0.02/GB and tied with yesterday's expired mention of this bundle as the lowest total price we've seen for this hard drive. (It's a current low for these items sold separately elsewhere by $42.) The drive features transfer speeds of up to 480Mbps. Deal ends September 29.
Of note, the software must be activated before the rebate can be redeemed, which involves providing your credit card information. However, you can cancel the service at any time within the first year without incurring any additional charges.
